Y. Christine Chen
Dr. Christine Chen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at UBC Vancouver with an emphasis on electrical power systems.
Her research interests lie in power systems analysis, monitoring and control. Emerging technologies, such as renewable-based electricity generation, distributed energy resources and advanced sensors, will spur radical transformations in electricity generation, transmission and distribution for decades to come. As a member of the research group working on advancing solar systems, Dr. Chen is interested in addressing the challenges involved with the integration of these technologies and at the same time realizing their full potential to improve system reliability, performance and economics.
